Taal is a 1999 Hindi film directed by
Subhash Ghai. The film stars
Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Aishwarya Rai, Amrish Puri and
Alok Nath. It was a huge hit overseas as, Anil Kapoor, A.R. Rahman & Anand Bakshi won their Awards.
The music is scored by
A. R. Rahman and the lyrics is from
Anand Bakshi. Taal is an excellent album. It shows that AR Rahman has focused a lot more on melody in Taal, and that is main substance of music, melody.
