Brothers and their sisters, I have 36 cakes for you as a treat on Sonu Nigam's 36th birthday. He is one of the best singers in the current age and has definitely given some timeless hits. He was born on 30 July 1973 in Faridabad and had started performing since he was 3 years old.

So let's make his birthday. I have worked quite hard to make a collection of his 36 best songs, as there are so many good songs. The collection is based upon my personal choices, but I hope you love the songs as much as I do.

Now Back to the topic: The songs of Kailash Kher are special in it's own way and I love them for their beauty. When I first heard the song 'Allah Ke Bande' sung by one of my friends I was moved but after listening it in Kailash's voice I was flying with the velocity of light. Really this song is one of my most favorite tracks and I hope you love it too. There are many good songs in this album and I recommend you to check them out (of course if you like sufi music).

An anonymous visitor requested the songs of Bachna Ae Haseeno, also many of the searches on this blog was for it, so I have added it's songs. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it starred Ranbir Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles (1:3 ratio, lucky boy:). As I watched the film I enjoyed the first half a lot, but the latter half was a bit disappointing. Anyways, the great tunes is composed by Vishal-Shekhar (also composed of Dostana). I like 'Khuda Jaane' and upon it's release listened to it a lot. The title track has some of it's part from a fantastic song of Kishore Kumar and some parts rapped by Sumit Kumar. Kismat Konnection, released last year was rocking only in the music department and was directed by Aziz Mirza (director of Chalte Chalte). The film starred Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan in the lead roles along with Juhi Chawla in the suporting roles. It has it's music done by Sayeed Qadri, Shabbir Ahmed and Sajid-Wajid. And when the songs were released I loved Atif's 'Bakhuda Tumhi Ho' and Shreya's 'Is This Love', but don't know why subsequently lost interest. Anyways, many of you might still love them so enjoy:) The songs were requested by an anonymous visitor couple of days ago, I hope he finds a way to these.

Pritam's on a roll, after the fantastic Love Aaj Kal and New York, his new numbers are here and we are the first to listen them . Life Partner is an upcoming film which is set to be released on August 14 this year. It's directed by Rumi Jaffrey, one of the celebrated writers of Bollywood. It stars Govinda, Genelia D'Souza, Prachi Desai, Fardeen Khan and Tusshar Kapoor in lead roles. I expect a lot from this film, I has been a long time since I watched a good comedy film. I expected a lot from Kambakkht Ishq, but you might know how wrong I was. Btw, the lyrics is from Javed Akhtar and Kumaar. I hope you enjoy the songs, while writing I listened Kuke Kuke which appeared good.

Priyanka requested the songs of Tere Sang a few hours ago, so this is here. I hope it finds a way to you. Teree Sang , an upcoming kidult movie is directed by Satish Kaushik and is starring Ruslaan Mumtaz and debutant Sheena Shahabadi. The music is composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics from Sameer. I don't think I need to give a small synopsis as the poster below tells that. Btw, the film is to be released on 7 August, I hope it turns to be great.

Rocker, my friend asked me to add the songs of "Kachche Dhaage", and to tell the truth I had never heard it's name before. This is for you Rocker!The haunting music is composed by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who undoubtedly was one of the best singers ever. Btw, the film starred Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan, Manisha Koirala and Namrata Shirodkar in the lead roles and was directed by Milan Luthria. Enough said, now download the songs and enjoy!!

Kaminey starring a new couple Shahid Kapoor and ever gorgeous Priyanka Chopra is an upcoming movie set to be released on August 14. It is directed and written by Vishal Bhardwaj, who has also done it's music with lyrics from Gulzar. The trailer released back in February appeared quite promising, hope it keeps up to our expectations. In one place I read that this movie has no usage of foul language, seemed astonishing, gotta watch out this movie to checkout why its named as such?? Hope you like the songs!

Update: It's a great time, I should say it's one of the best period of 2009, so many great songs have been released in past month, really am enjoying them a lot. When Love Aaj Kal released it rocked, and I truly did not expect that Kaminey is going to beat Twist, but hey Dhan Te Nan is phenomenal:). Hope the movies also rock and turn to be one of the greatest hits of 2009.

Arman requested a song yesterday, and here it is the whole album:p. Hope he finds a way to it. Here are the songs which are way different than what we normally encounter in bollywood. Dev D is the modern day DevDas, at least that's what the reviewers claim. I have not seen it, so can't confirm it?? Its starring Abhay Deol as Dev, Mahie Gill as Paro and Kalki Koechlin as Chandramukhi and is directed by Anurag Kashyap. It was released back in February 2009 and is having a very good rating 0f 8.5 on IMDB. Think gonna check it out, myself:)

Saawariya, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sonam Kapoop, Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Released along side Om Shanti Om, this movie was overshadowed by OSO, but the album was hit. Monty Sharma has done an awesome job. I love some of the songs, particularly 'Jab Se Tere Naina' and hope that you too do! Cheers!
