Shreya Ghoshal was born in a Bengali Family in Durgapur, West Bengal. She is a Indian classical singer. She shot to fame when she won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest on Zee TV. Besides Hindi, she also sings in Bengali, Assamese, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi and Tamil.
She has 4 National Film Awards, 5 Filmfares and 4 IIFA Awards to her credit. In a very short period, she has emerged as the leading female playback singer in the Hindi Film Industry.
